Treo repair
I had ordered a new battery for my Treo 600 because the old one was getting so it would not last an entire day without needing to be recharged. After receiving it, I never got around to installing it for a while. But, the other day I realized that my phone would cause a buzz for the other person on the end of the line if my battery was below about 50%. So, it was time to change the battery.
Opening the Treo was pretty easy. It took a little prying to get the case off, but mostly it was pretty smooth. I ended up with an extra rubber piece and am still trying to guess what it is for. I added some tin-foil around the battery connector as was outlined in a web page by another Treo 600 user.
The good news is that the battery seems to work great. The battery is functioning and my first test phone call when the battery was at about 25% resulted in no noise for the other person.

Trying Quills for Plone
So far I have not succeeded in getting the 'Quills' product for Plone to be accessible from u*Blog on my Treo. It does not do photos anyway, so I guess I won't bother with it.Monday, July 25, 2005
